What kinds of videos (ads, stories, documentary, etc)? :
Singular real or not stories, multi video stories with cliff hanger open ended continuums, factual and non factual type niches, news niches + research. Themes & ideation like this vs that or this and that in all their variations. Short product reviews singular or in series but not necessarily contiguous in nature.
Short form video Ads would be good for me but maybe longer than a standard shorts video, 1.5-3.5 minutes on average. Would include a hook for the ad + a hook for the offer, open loops etc. Speaks from a position of authority, qualifies audience, call's out pain points, provide solution and value perception, social proof & what's in it for them, would be good if it could run a google policy check over it maybe highlighting areas of potential issue and maybe offering improvement variations or options.
Shorts wise most of whats already been mentioned seems good to me.
From scratch, or based on your long form video scripts?
An argument could be made for both...As some would want to create supporting Shorts from Longs. While others may only be interested in Shorts only.
Generate multiple variations? :
Yes please, + Options for series. + Maybe more specific variational changes might be handy like just new hooks, new CTA's, etc.
Automation? :
If it's automation of script creation, then I would assume it would depend how well things can be dialed in on a given system or strategy...unless we or you can profile in versions of these systems and strategies and then choose what to run (maybe something modular even?). I could live with fully automated / well crafted scripts, but I think at least some tool or area for some form of control, to full control, would allow for everyone's varying tactics and materials to be better realized.

*** The ability to write a script the ends the way it start <<<< if you can nail this you will be printing money! like this - https://www.youtube.com/shorts/BLKhZBNCnYc
the ability to close with a tagline or insert one in the script
The ability to create a short series of up to 4-5 shorts
the ability to create a short based off of a longer video

Very excited about this upcoming feature and can't wait to see it :-) Here are my 5 cents:
-What kind of videos?
How-tos, Stories, Viral App Ads
-Start from scratch, or based on your long form video scripts?
Both!
-Would you like to be able to generate multiple variations?
Yes, although it is not mandatory
-On a scale from "completely automated" to "I want to control over every aspect of the script", how much automation do you want?
I'd say that as automated as possible. Research, voice and hooks should be customized (as they are now for long form).
Also, input the script or link of a long video, select voice and hooks, and get one general summary short and several other shorts from it.
-And what kind of automation?
We should add the topic, select the voice and format, and the research sources. Also select the hook and then Subscribr would generate the script + media prompts.
Subscribr would suggest and give prompts for b-rolls, stock images and ai images, as well as video effects (zooms, etc) in the timeline.

Subscribr should support a diverse range of short-form video types to align with viral content trends:
- Short Skits: Inspired by creators who fully commit to a bit, using absurdity to spark curiosity.
- Brief Stories/Narratives: Personal anecdotes, fictional micro-stories, or condensed versions of longer narratives focusing on emotional shifts and tension.
- Quick Explainers/Educational Content: Simplifying complex topics for broad appeal, similar to how finance or science is broken down in engaging ways.
- Reaction-Style Prompts: Not generating the reaction itself, but setting up scenarios for intriguing responses based on surprising facts or visuals.
- *Hacks" or "Tips" Focused Videos: Short, actionable advice or surprising solutions that provide immediate value.
- Teasers/Intriguing Questions: Hooks designed to lead viewers to longer content or encourage follows for future reveals.
- Promotional Shorts/Ads: Engaging, concise scripts that capture attention quickly and deliver a clear message.

Starting from Scratch vs. Repurposing Content
Subscribr should offer both:
- Starting from Scratch: Allows for scripts optimized for short-form engagement, incorporating virality principles from the outset.
- Repurposing Long-Form Content: Extracting key moments, summarizing tension points, and restructuring them into engaging short scripts. Features like automated summarization with an emphasis on unresolved questions could enhance this.
Variation & Optimization
Generating multiple variations of the same core idea is essential for testing different hooks, pacing, and calls to action. This aligns with the iterative nature of viral content creation.
Automation vs. Creator Control
A hybrid approach - balancing automation with manual refinement -would be most effective.
Automated Features:
- Hook Generation: Suggested opening lines or scenarios based on keywords.
- Tension-Release Structure: Guidance on introducing a problem, building suspense, and offering resolution or a cliffhanger.
- Relatability Prompts: Framing content for broader appeal through analogies or everyday scenarios.
- Call to Action Variations: Different direct CTAs to maximize engagement.
- Length Constraints: Ensuring adherence to short-form video durations.
- Keyword Optimization (Optional): Suggesting relevant keywords while prioritizing content quality.
Creator Control Areas:
- Authenticity & Voice: The core message and tone must remain under the creator's control.
- Humor & Emotion: While prompts can suggest emotional engagement, delivery and nuance should be dictated by the creator.
- Subtlety & Nuance: Allowing for scripts that use observational humor or relatability effectively.
- Visual Integration Prompts: Including cues for visuals to complement narratives and boost engagement.
